Chris has developed a diverse portfolio of work across the cultural, educational, ecclesiastical and residential sectors. His career has encompassed both new build and conservation work and he is particularly interested in integrating contemporary architectural design into the historic built environment. Chris has worked on a broad spectrum of residential projects from townhouse refurbishments to large developments on sensitive sites.

The project involved careful repairs and refurbishment throughout this Grade I listed property, including the integration of new services. The key design achievement was the insertion of a new fully glazed extension to the rear.

The Crown Estate, London
Chris held responsibility for monitoring new works and repairs to Grade I and II* listed properties owned by The Crown Estate. The portfolio of buildings covered Regent’s Park, Kensington Palace Gardens, and the commercial estates of St James’s including Lower Regent Street and Pall Mall.

A large Victorian property within a conservation area. Extensive internal changes include lowering the existing basement floor and the creation of a new sub-basement, reordering of the reception spaces and changes to the hall and staircase.
